Quality Commenting Tips
- Give a specific compliment on the blogger’s writing (ideas, organization, word choice, sentence fluency, voice, conventions, presentation)
- Give new information related to the blog post
- Make a connection to the blog post
- Ask a question related to the blog post
- Proofread for grammar, punctuation and spelling (Use exclamation marks and emoticons tastefully!)
Example: I really love your detailed ideas and choice of interesting words in your post about camping! Your spelling and nice image of the campfire make your post look polished. I also like going camping with my family, and especially like having campfires and staying up until it is dark out. Where is your favourite place to camp? Thanks for sharing your wonderful writing!
